Batch Replace
Sockets drawn as loose detail lines become one symbol each: record one example and the symbol to use, choose what to scan, find every copy (rotated or mirrored) and replace them. Follow the notes, or just play.

Batch Replace
Detect repeated Detail Curve (and Detail Item) patterns and replace accepted results with a placed symbol.
Tolerance
mm
Double-click to locate. Adjust reselects one partial match.
What it does
- 1 Select pattern: pick one complete example (Detail Curves, and Detail Items if the drawing uses them), then Finish. Its bounding-box centre is the base point unless you set one with 2.
- 3 Select placed symbol: pick a Detail Item or Generic Annotation you placed beforehand. Every match gets a copy of it. 4 sets which point of the symbol lands on the base point (default: its centre).
- 5 Select curves to scan, then Find matches: moved, rotated and mirrored copies are found within the tolerance (angles within 1°). A copy with at least half of its parts (at least 2) is listed as partial. Green, orange and purple bands mark complete, partial and manual matches; they are a preview only, not in the model and not in Undo.
- Review: Exclude keeps a match's lines, Accept partial lets it be replaced, Adjust reselects a partial's curves, Add manual match takes curves plus a base point.
- Replace all (asks first when there are partials) or Replace & ignore partial: each match's elements are deleted and the symbol is copied onto it, rotated or mirrored to fit, in one transaction (one Undo). Where an instance of the symbol already stands, only the curves are removed.
- Afterwards each copy is one element: select it and press Space (Revit) to turn it 90° about its insertion point, which is the symbol's centre here.
