Detail Group Workflow
Inside a group, a click picks the whole group, and Revit's Edit Group mode switches add-ins off. This tool lets you edit a Detail Group without Edit Group: ungroup it, edit as normal, box-select and regroup. With several instances, Edit Master & Replace puts the edited group back on every instance, mirrored ones included.

Detail Group Workflow
How it works
- Ungroup for Work never opens Revit's Edit Group mode (add-ins are disabled there). It records the group's name and view in the model, then ungroups it. You edit with ordinary Revit tools.
- When you are done, box-select every element that belongs in the group, kept and new, in the same view, and click Regroup Selected Elements. The new group gets the recorded name.
- A group with several instances opens the instance list. Edit Master & Replace saves each instance's placement (direct or mirrored), ungroups the master, and after regrouping puts the edited group on the instances you choose. Replace All keeps the original name; Replace Selected gives the chosen ones a new name and leaves the rest on the old group.
- Detach Selected ungroups just one instance to become a separate group with a new name. Keep Ungrouped & End Session only forgets the record: nothing is regrouped or put back.
