Pattern Library
- Browse: All, then groups under Finish (model patterns, real sizes) and Cut (section symbols). Search finds names and words like “decking”.
- Preview: click a card. Weight shows how much Revit redraws: Light, Medium or Heavy.
- Load (or Enter) puts the fill pattern in the project.
- Paint: click a filled region and it gets a filled region type with the pattern; click any other face and it gets a material with it. Only what you click changes.
- Replace: click a filled region or a face, and its type or material gets the new pattern, everywhere it is used.
- Already in the project under the same name? You choose: keep the project's, overwrite, or bring it in as “(2)”.
Pattern Maker
- Pick a layout, then set the sizes. Joints as centre lines or unit outlines; rounded corners optional.
- Random layouts (floorboards, random paving) can be rolled again for a new arrangement.
- Create makes the fill pattern, plus a filled region type and a material if you name them.
- Save to Library keeps your pattern next to NimDeck's, marked as yours.
Good to know
- NimDeck does not export .pat files. Patterns go straight into the project.
- Units follow the project.
